Graphic Designer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the layout, design, setup and implementation of e-mail branding, electronic newsletters, campaigns and other related online and print advertising
  • Estimating the time required to complete the work for clients
  • Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design
  • Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time
  • Working with a range of media and keeping up to date with emerging technologies
  • Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
  • Working as part of a team with other graphic designers, marketing coordinators and marketing consultants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Graphic Design Degree or 3-year Diploma (Visual Communication / Media Studies)
  • Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)

Software Requirements:

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Intermediate – Advanced)
  • HTML5 (Basic - Intermediate)
  • CorelDraw X8 (Basic – Intermediate)
  • MS Office Outlook (office use)
  • Digital design experience: HTML & Online practices

Soft Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team
  • Work under pressure in a high-quality standard environment
  • Excellent attention to detail

Social Media Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Social Media Coordinator should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimise content so that it is engaging on those channels.

  • Set up and optimise company pages and client profiles within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Manage social media accounts and day-to-day activities
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations
  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Practices superior time management
  • Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics
